This process creates a case harden surface by diffusing gasses into the surface of steels such as carbon steels, tool steels, etc. The process provides superior wear resistance and fatigue strength and it’s achieved with minimal distortion and is a very clean process. Some of the applications it can be used on is stampings, molds, gears, along with stamping dies, just to name a few.
